The CBC will dramatically increase resources devoted to covering local and national news in Alberta generally and Calgary and Edmonton in particular. Saying it’s moving to fulfill a commitment to local newsgathering announced nationally last year, CBC News will be doubling the number of newsgathering resources in Alberta by adding approximately 25 new assignments for television journalists based in Calgary and Edmonton to focus on local and national stories originating in Alberta. Instead of dealing with the serious issue at hand, alleged election overspending, the Con's are as usual pointing fingers at the Lib's and anyone else they can think of as a diversion. One of their favourite attack dogs, Pierre Poilievre apparently sees a conspiracy here. Ottawa-area Conservative Pierre Poilievre (PWAH'-lee-ehv) goes further, accusing Elections Canada of inviting the Liberal party to watch the raid unfold. Note to Petey. The plan was to get up early and scoot over to Newport News to the Casey Crit so Ellie could race Juniors, then I’d race 40+. That way we’d be back in Norfolk in time for her 2:15 p.m. soccer game. But the rain Sunday morning changed both out minds. Ellie didn’t want to race in the wet again. I didn’t want to race on that course when it was wet. The track around Todd Stadium is hairy enough when it’s dry. Turns out there were a number of crashes, including one that took out four Cat 4 racers,
